TikTok stories delete themselves 24 hours after posting — and TikTok gives you no way to save someone else's story, or even a decent way to archive your own. TikSave downloads any public story as a normal MP4, watermark-free, before the clock runs out.
It works exactly like the video downloader: copy the story's share link, paste it here, download. Because stories are short-lived, TikSave fetches them at full priority — if the story is still live, you'll have the file in seconds.
How it works
- Open the story and tap Share → Copy Link (stories share like normal videos).
- Paste the link above and press Download.
- Save the MP4 — done before the 24 hours are.
Why TikSave
- Beat the 24-hour timerOnce a story expires it is gone from TikTok's servers — no downloader can retrieve it. Save it while it's live.
- No watermark, as alwaysStories download from the clean source stream, same as regular videos.
- Archive your own storiesTikTok's own archive is buried and phone-locked. Downloading your stories gives you real files you control.
- AnonymousTikSave doesn't log in as you — the creator is never notified and no view is registered from your account.
Frequently asked questions
Can I save a story after it expired?
No — expired stories are removed from TikTok's servers, and no tool can download what no longer exists. If a story matters, save it while it's live.
Will the creator know I saved their story?
No. TikSave doesn't use your TikTok account (it doesn't even ask for one), so no view, like or download is ever attributed to you.
How do I copy a story's link?
Stories have the same Share button as videos: open the story, tap Share, tap Copy Link. If Share is missing, the story is private and can't be downloaded.
Can I download private-account stories?
No. Only stories from public accounts are reachable — private content stays private.
Do image stories work too?
Yes — if the story is a photo, TikSave saves the image (and its background sound if there is one).
Why can't I find the story I want to save?
Most likely it expired, was deleted early, or the account is private. Story links also break if the creator deactivates their account.
Is there a limit on story downloads?
No — free and uncapped, like everything else on TikSave.
